The Transnational Meeting held in Bochum brought us one step closer to implementing new Good Practices across the SEED regions, which is the overall goal of WP4. The WP4 workshop in Bochum was a continuation of the workshop in Kozani, which facilitated a deeper exploration of specific Good Practices that piqued the interest of SEED partners. Armed with this understanding, partners delineated which aspects of these Good Practices they would integrate into their respective regions, documenting their decisions in the Regional Development Plan.
The workshop in Bochum commenced with each region presenting their strategies for implementing Good Practices to the fellow partners. The public pitch served to reveal possible synergies between the regions and to identify points of contact and potential for mutual support. To ensure active engagement, feedback sheets with guiding questions were distributed.
After the presentations, the SEED partners were given 30 minutes to provide feedback to each region. This was done via posters. On the left side of the poster there where the following questions listed:
- How do the chosen Good Practices align with the region’s development goals? Are there any concerns?
- Thoughts on the implementation ideas:
- As the Good Practices responsible of _______________ I think…
This structured approach enabled partners to provide insightful feedback, suggestions, and queries. Partners possessing expertise in a particular Good Practice that another region sought to implement shared their professional experiences and insights.
Afterwards the partners were given another 30 minutes to get together in their regions to discuss the feedback they were given and chart their next steps. For this they worked on the right side of the poster and were given the following questions as a guide:
- How do we include the feedback in our plans? How do we overcome current difficulties?
- Based on the learnings from the other regions, what will we do differently/pay special attention to?
- Our next steps are…
This workshop, in conjunction with the formulation of the Regional Development Plan and improvements of the Good Practices, establishes the groundwork for regional activities aimed at advancing sustainable energy education in the coming months.
