What motivated you to get involved in the SEED project?

As part of CluBE (the Cluster of Bioeconomy and Environment of Western Macedonia), I am always eager to participate in EU projects that can make a meaningful impact on students and young people in our region. Through SEED I saw the potential to help shape a better future for those who are curious and passionate about learning new technologies, particularly in the green energy sector.

What do you think would be the most rewarding experience you could have as a partner on the SEED project?

The Region of Western Macedonia is currently undergoing a transition under the Just Transition mechanism. For me, one of the most rewarding outcomes would be to see people in our region not only learning but also sharing their knowledge with others. When individuals grow and then help others do the same, that’s when real impact happens. Witnessing this transformation would be the greatest reward I can imagine.

How do you think the project can benefit the local economy?

Applying the knowledge gained from the SEED project in Western Macedonia offers numerous advantages. A key benefit is the potential for new businesses to emerge, especially in green and sustainable sectors. More businesses mean more jobs, and more jobs mean that people are more likely to stay in the region, or even move here. That kind of development supports a stronger, more resilient local economy – one built by and for the people who live here.

What does the term “SEED Community” mean?

Through the SEED project, our goal is to establish a vibrant community. Each participating region will form its own local “small community,” and these will be connected through a shared platform. This platform will facilitate the exchange of knowledge, ideas, best practices, and updates. It’s about staying connected, learning from one another, and building something sustainable and long-lasting.

How will the project ensure the transfer of knowledge and best practices?

Through deliverables, shared resources, and continuous communication between partners, each region will be able to learn from the others. The mission is to make all materials accessible and user-friendly so that every region can adapt and apply the most effective practices to their local context.
